• Dogs must be leashed when not on dock.
• No retractable (Flexi) leashes, electric or prong collars.
• Dogs waiting their turn must be outside the fenced pool area.
• Potty dogs before going on dock (please ask where is the potty area).
• Always clean up after your dog.
• No more than 2 people (and trainer) on the dock at one time.
• Keep gates latched on dock and the pool perimeter fence. 
• All dogs should be familiar with the exit ramp location before jumping to ensure exiting the pool correctly.
• No forced swimming (no pushing dogs in to the water or off the dock).
• Beginners must wear life jackets until a staff members observes your dog is completely confident in the water. 
• No food or drinks on the dock.

Healthy dogs only please! No diarrhea, vomiting, coughing etc.  

Please do not feed you dog within 3 hours of using the pool. 

Payment is due before you are allowed on the dock.  

• We reserve the right to charge a $100 fee for any dog defecating in the pool. 
• NO PERSONS ALLOWED IN THE POOL UNLESS INSTRUCTED BY A TRAINER !!
• NO SWIMING / DIVING/ JUMPING IN THE POOL (HUMAN) yes this happens !

Ultimate Rat Hunt

Ultimate Rat Hunt is a fun and exciting mixture of scent location of a Live Rat (1 to 7 Rats depending on event) and the excitement of Agility! Together in one Ultimate Timed Game.

Ultimate Rat Hunt will use the hurdles-jumps, Pyramid Wall and Hay Pool along with a hay bales to create an exciting new sport called Ultimate Rat Hunt.

Ultimate Rat Hunt will be one day events with several Runs (Determined by Event staff) The top 5 dogs in each division will enter the finals. (On the same day) 1st -2nd and 3rd place dog in each division to complete the required course will be awarded rosettes along “Cash Prize or Swag Prize (Determined by each event/staff) Ultimate Rat Hunt will hold several events over the course of a few days but will have Finals for each event on the day it is running.

(Courses and Requirements will be posted with sign-ups prior to Event.)

(If cash awards are offered for an event the amount will be by a percentage of sign-up fees per division)

1st – 25%

2nd – 10%

3rd - 5%

PRICES AND FINALS

Entry fee gets two runs in the same division. (You can run in as many divisions as you want)

The fastest 5 dogs in each of the 3 divisions will get a free entry into the Finals

The 5 finals dogs will compete for 1st 2nd and 3rd Place Awards

Event Time

Each trial dog will get 3 to 5 mins (depending on number of rats on the course) to accurately find all the Rats and complete the course set for that event. (We will use tubes with Rats and litter only)

Each dog must complete two hurdles-jumps inside the course

Each dog must go completely through the tunnel set up in the course

(Our event is based on speed and accurately finding the correct rat tubes and completing the course that is in use.)

Inside the Arena

All Dogs can have collars (Except Pinch or electronic control) GPS are allowed.

All Dogs will start inside the start square (placement will vary depending on division)

Once the dog leaves the square the time will start. (Human cannot leave the square until after the dog has left)

Humans can not touch, assist, grab or handle the dog in anyway as the dog performs the required tasks in the arena. (You are (DQ) Disqualified if you do for that round)

EVENTS INSIDE THE ARENA

Tunnel – Tunnel sizes will be used depending on division ( size to be posted)

Jumps –

LARGE HURDLES/JUMPS is 14” high by 30” wide

Small HURDLES /JUMPS is 8” high by 30” wide

THE PYRAMID WALL Stacked bales of hay in a grid pattern 4 bales high

THE HAY POOL - A Rubbermaid or similar POOL FILLED WITH HAY

( same concept as a leaf pile jumping into but may or may not have rats in it)

Finding the RAT

Only after the human calls “RAT” We will allow you to hold /restrain your dog safely any way necessary until the Rat Tube has been removed from the arena. It is your discission to have a Rat Retriever get the tube or you can hand it off to a Rat Retriever. “If you pick up the tube” it has to be kept level as its laying (Rat Safety is always first) if you mistreat the tube/Rat by turning the tube up right / dropping or anything we seem harmful to the Rat! YOU ARE Disqualification (DQ) for that round. NO EXCEPTIONS.

ARENA SIZE

Arena area will be any size up to 30’ x 30’

we will leave it up to your facility of how you want your arena configured.

Rat Container Size

All Rat tubes will be constructed of 4” sch 40 PVC. Size of tube will be up to each facility

All tubes will be the same size as your others and must be big enough for the rat to move about freely.

Aggressive Dogs

Any dog that is aggressive towards the Tubes, Rat Retrievers or any dog, person on the property will be disqualified and asked to leave.

Defecation and Urine and Vomit

Any dog that while inside the arena Urinates, Defecates or Vomits inside the arena is

DQ disqualified from that round. If it is on a hay bale. The hay bale or bales has to be removed and The handler is charged the posted amount to replace the hay bale or bales (per bale)

ROUNDS

We will have 5 dogs per round stage in a covered area before placement of the tubes

After each round the tubes will be moved to new locations for the next round. After all rounds in that division are completed the 5 top time dogs will face off in the finals for 1st 2nd and 3rd Place Awards

NOTE: THIS IS FOR FUN AND ENJOYMENT WITH YOUR DOG!! ANY FORM OF CHEATING YOU WILL BE DISQUILIFIED AND ASKED TO LEAVE WITH NO REFUND!

FINALS

Finals will start after all division rounds have been completed and the five dogs from each division have been announced.

Awards

Rosettes or other awards along with Prizes or Cash Awards will be given out at the end of all the final rounds ( each event prizes and awards will change )

We will try to do our best to have everyone’s size but sometimes we run out

DISQUALIFICATIONS

Out of time stated is a disqualification (DQ)

Calling out a Litter Tube is a disqualification (DQ)

Pushing or pulling or leading your dog in anyway disqualification (DQ)
